Thanking Heroes

Today is D-Day.

I ask that each of you do something to commemorate it.

Read a book on WWII.

Watch Saving Private Ryan.

Listen to or sing the national anthem.

Salute a flag.

Thank a veteran.

Do something, anything, to remember the sacrifice, the bravery, the heroism.

I know I will.

Band of Brothers is another good watch.

Wow. I watched the D-Day specials on the History Channel alllll day. I hate war. I hate death. But what the Allied troops did that day was beyond courageous. They were selfless. And it changed the world as everyone knew it. If I had anywhere in the world to visit...it would be those beaches at Normandy.
