Recipe: Funny Cake

FUNNY CAKESo what makes it 'funny'? Well, the fact that first of all, no one can decide whether it's pie or cake. It's...cake in a pie crust. A coworker is having a bunch of us over to his place tomorrow night for steaks and I was trying to think of something to bring along. I think I might try this out on them! It sure looks yummy! And AFAIK, no one's ever brought something like it to one of Fisher's gatherings. :-)

If you do decide to try it, another word of warning: don't fill the pie crust all the way to the top with the batter, because the syrup is going to add extra volume (I severely underestimated this a few weeks ago). So fill the pie crust a little less than 3/4 full, then add the syrup. Hope you like it! :D
