At first I thought that this bike was announcing that "ladies deserve speed", upon closer inspection it turned out that it was a "ladies twelve speed" in colours that ooze 80s chic and remind me a lot of the hand me downs zip-up jackets I got from my brother as a child!

It's unusual to spot a tandem bicycle on the streets of London, but a folding tandem is a rare treat. This 1970s Graziella was enough to put a prompt stop to my uphill momentum as I hurried off my bicycle to get a closer look.

Triumph bicycles make me smile. It's in the name. There's an air of beating down the tarmac, swatting away cars and and generally.... well, triumphing. This asparagus green roadster was right at home by the Cutty Sark in Greenwich - which is set to re-open next year after the fire in May 2007.

Seasonal fashion varies from year to year, and although the current trend is for pale (almost colourless!) palettes, S/S will always be represented by sunshine yellow and bright florals.
