I haven't enjoyed a FF game after X (X-2 but fun for what it was)

Were the Final Fantasy games ever fun? I've tried playing a couple and none of them ever appealed to me.

That's six. I didn't care for that one either, I guess it was kind of before my time, but at least that qualifies as a respectable RPG.
