DOUBLE TEAM! :U hisokakoji November 11 2011, 02:02:58 UTC
"Hahhhhh... Ayumi-chan, what were you doing again..?" So says the young 'teen' walking beside an equally 'grown up' Ayumi as they walk into the room.

Ayumi for her part is a bit red in the face and cradling a burnt hand. "It... I was just playing with my cards, I don't know how..!!"

"Yeaaaaa...." Sigh... It's about now that they get to the point where they can actually see Conan though. Koji's reaction. "...Another one..?" More or less expected.

Ayumi's? "Ah! C-Conan-kun?! Are you alright..!?!" ...

Yea, that's probably expected too.

"You were older. Might not regress as far," Conan said simply. He's never seen Gin shrunk before, so he couldn't be certain, but Shinichi was pretty much always constant.

"So another drug attempt at immortality? How did he get exposed to it?"

Conan perked up at that. Life debt...?

"Nice try, except Ayumi-chan herself said I joined the grade three class. As for the poison..."

This grin isn't at all 'Gin' like. It still shouldn't be on his face though. "Heheheheheeee... You know the last few samples looked just like strawberry candies? Turns out a friend of mine thought he deserved one as a 'thanks for saving me' and failed to mention what the thing was on the first side of the note~" Though in all seriousness, it wasn't in any way funny at the time.

...Two years later though. Oh definitely.

"Would be a stretch, but you'd have more connections to make fake papers and could go with early growth spurt. It's not impossible," Conan said. Though he had originally thought they had to be aging SOMEHOW, but it went against the form of immortality the Apotoxin has given before and why would it shrink people, and let them grow only to a certain age for their immortality?

Conan frowned at that. Saved? "A thanks....Vodka?" Surely he wouldn't be alive if THAT MANY Black Organization members knew he was alive.

I... I was actually kinda waiting to do this. ;u; ESCALATION IS UP TO YOU. :U hisokakoji November 11 2011, 07:17:39 UTC
"Eh, still wr-"

...Vodka. "Even farther off the mark with that," he rasped, turning with a fairly stony look over his face. "Vodka... He wasn't transferred- Vodka never knew I was still alive, I..." His teeth are grinding... "...Trust me on that, 'Edogawa'... He never knew..." Wasn't..?

Why the past tense...?

Well, that was an interesting reaction.

The question was, was there some anger in there at Vodka...or because of what most likely happened to Vodka. On one hand, it'd probably be poking a sleeping dragon. On the other hand, this clearly threw Gin off.

Conan didn't know what to make of Koji. Perhaps he was telling the truth, perhaps he was lying through his teeth. Maybe there was a reason the Organization needed 'Conan' alive and an accident happened with Koji.

Or perhaps he was telling the truth and that's why he was hanging around the kids. It sounded like some sort of life debt might have been the first prompt, but Conan's seen what the kids did for Haibara. What they've done for even him.

Conan could accept the idea of a 'good Gin.' But he couldn't do it without PROOF.

So he poked the damn dragon. "Why separate such a good duo?"

That's why we love him. :U hisokakoji November 11 2011, 07:30:51 UTC
((OOC - I'm gonna say that to get Vodka's fate out, you need to imply whatever happened was intentional though. <-< ...If that's what you want.))

"Because I'm the only one they trusted enough to slip into their own little secret building, hell if I know the real reason!" he snapped. "...He didn't know. Thought I was dead," he continued, growing somewhat quieter.

Oh- then what happened to him...

Indeed. And...we'll see how it goes. He's mostly going for not controlled reactions in general really_is_7 November 11 2011, 07:36:24 UTC
In a way, it was weird to see. This Gin...seemed so human. More human than he had before, certainly. He couldn't be sure before, but this...this was definitely an honest reaction. Something real he could use to understand and make a decision on.

"Their secret building?" Conan said questioningly. "Sounds like they didn't plan on you coming back at all, if they wouldn't even tell him you were just transferred."

Hands thrown up to the air it's probably for the best that Koji's back has been turned to Conan for the moment. "Yea? Well I didn't really have the time to ask."

This just raises more questions. Stop that.

Nope.

"Well, that's the only way, isn't it? You two are pretty high up there. Some of the prime people the FBI wanted. You'd both be long term, and with enough time, you'd run into each other again in the Organization. Unless...one of you wasn't expected to be in the Organization much longer. And it's never seemed like you can just retire from the Organization," Conan said, still holding onto his watch because he knew this was probably a very, very stupid move.

But sometimes stupid was needed for the truth.

If he could react in a split second, he'd noticed that the fists that Koji had started to clench had suddenly become quite red, from the inside. That was a split second though-

What happened next would most certainly be a little more important to pay attention to. "There was no RETIREMENT!" he roared, almost literally as he turned back with a snap. Eyes wide and clearly not 'his', teeth bared and stripes appearing across his face... "Don't you get it," he snarled, "Neither of us were supposed to 'die'..! Figuratively or literally..!"

And that is a holy shit moment because WHAT.

The watch is up, aimed at Koji, fingers on the button, but he doesn't press, able to control the immediate reaction enough. Not an attack, not an attack, not an attack, can't be trigger happy when it was. Not. An. Attack.

Even if he was looking at Koji with rather wide, shocked eyes. Just...WHAT.

"Hhh... hhh... Hhhh..." Your shock. Is only barely letting him calm down, and your brain will probably thank you for that in the end. As it is. Hair stops bristling, eyes are green again... "Tch..!"

Still not pleased at all though. "Go ahead..! Shoot your little 'dart', see what good it does... I doubt you'll have me out more than a minute by now..." But hey, it works right? And Koji don't say that, the mansion might hear~

He doesn't move, the watch still trained on him. He notes that comment. So whatever...this was, it would make the dart less affective? Still, any drowsiness meant time to go to his shoes. Plus he knew there were sedatives in here, so he could even go for those with enough time.

It took a few seconds for those thoughts to go through his head, but it was enough to keep him from shooting. Yet. There's obviously nervousness on his face as he struggles to gain control, but this...

This wasn't something he could just brush away. "Then what was supposed to happen?" He asked, his voice just a bit too soft, just a bit too shakey for his own liking, but considering he's a seven year old facing an immortal tiger thing, the effort really was impressive.

Very impressive Conan. Your foolishness would be applauded.

"Hell if I know," he growls, collapsing back on his chair. He's not looking up- not a very good sign from this guy. "Work in the 'hidden section' until the Org didn't think the FBI was breathing down their necks? Go back to standard assasinations that didn't involve making a mess?"

He takes that 'shouldn't-be-comfy' position on the chair yet again, jaw set and teeth clenched. "Stay off the menu?" he adds with a rather low and disgusted tone.

Safest decisions.

"Off the menu?" Conan said questioningly. "And that doesn't explain lying to your partner. Or is that common to do, have the agents lie to each other without real point?"

Yeeeeah, he's definitely not lowering his watch right now.
