A trick I use to keep up on my email if my email is blocked is copy my emails into a word file in the morning and either email it to myself or throw it on a disk.

Then I read and answer them at work (by answer I mean write up messages on word files. Then when I get home I just copy paste and send.

Its rare that once I am at home that I feel like writing emails so this has worked for me

All you need is a Proxy server. Smart, diligent IT folk will block access to proxy web services - but very few are actually diligent.

IT people are slow to anger unless you get around thier walls of fire

I worked for a place that jsut fired people for proxy servers (which is totally somehting they can find)

So its best if you judge how lazy your IT staff is first
