Cally wasn't exactly feeling at her best when she got home. She closed the door quietly behind her, and walked in to see Mac.

"Hi," she said. And in case Mac had failed to notice the past couple days, Cally was sporting a healing busted lip and a black eye.

She had probably noticed, but in her self-involved state, it hadn't really got through to her.

Mac jumped up from the couch when Cally appeared, and the first thing she did was go to hug her.

Cally hugged Mac back, just clinging to that feeling of acceptance.

"I think I'm going crazy," she said.

"I think I'm turning into bit of a bitch," Mac returned, still not quite ready to let go yet. "I'm sorry. I don't-- I didn't mean it. Any of it."
