Ah, geez, that song always made me cry even when I didn't know Billy and the girl waiting for him back home. It's utterly heart-breaking when applied to Seeley and Temp!

But yes, the song always made me cry and it kind of works (badly) for Bones.

Wow, I'm impressed. You don't see much filk outside of the sci-fi realm. Still, I'm going to cling to the fact that Seeley's not going to be out on the front doing the actual shooting; he's gonna be *teaching* those who will. Right? Right?

Nevertheless, I applaud your effort, because it still brought a tear to my eye.

First, I LOVE this song and I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought of it when she said that line. lol. Second, I've been singing this to myself since I read it the first time. :D
