Utah actually considers criminalizing miscarriage, my brain explodes

Hahaha, guys, I probably shouldn't write posts when I am furious but SERIOUSLY WORLD? SERIOUSLY?

Utah's House and Senate have passed a bill that would criminalize miscarriage. The bill doesn't affect legally obtained abortions (though good luck getting one of those, ladies!), but it does criminalize anything a woman does outside a doctor's care/ ( Read more... )

serious business is pretty damn serious, fuck fuck fuck, isn't it grand having a penis?

there's a recession, times are tough, but I can still spend heaps of money on fertility treatments and have a baby even when I can barely afford my own life.

i know this ad. it infuriates me.

This shit makes me so angry I can barely even see straight. I hate this shit. It's ridiculous, unnecessary, and unfair. What the fuck is wrong with society that we are treated like nothing more than incubators? I have a fucking mind of my own and a conscience and can make decisions as well as any man can-- so why the fuck am I not treated as such? I didn't ask to be a woman, damn it. It's not fucking fair to be punished for something I didn't choose.

Oh look, there's the gay rights argument coming out, again. Sigh.

It hurts to see this, it hurts to read this, and you are 500% correct.

Argh.

I'm hearing stories about corruption in Ogden city government all the time from my Mom (parents relocated to Utah for my Dad's job after I left home).

Utah's church of LDS poured millions of dollars into California's gay marriage ban propositions.

They've managed to get the basin around the Salt Lake to have the worst air in the country, due to zero emission controls and environmental protection. It's like the San Fernando Valley before California started trying to fix the problem. They hand-wring about the poor air but DON'T DO ANYTHING.

And now this.

Utah, why do you keep being so asinine in all levels of government?!
