This post was so cold, almost void of emotion despite the task at hand. Reminds of the surgical detachment physician's use to amputate an offending limb.

Terri reminded me so much of Dom in this post. The way they both have stopped feeling. Their methodical methods in handling problems and their extrication from those who love them. Both are bi-products of their environment and their instinct for survival.

I was glad to see Bob at the end. Maybe he can be a refuge for Terri so he doesn't become a monster similar to Dom.

Such a brilliant post. Thank you!

Right now, Teri's on the outside looking in at his life as a dispassionate observer. Remember Chatelaine himself called Teri a psychopath.

Takes one to know one? Or is Chatelaine more of a sociopath?

Chatelaine is a businessman with a hobby.

Oh, my God, this was scary! *shivers* Whatever Teri's up to, my money's on him to accomplish it. I just hope the fallout doesn't fall on our boys.

He has an agenda.

Why am I so sad he severed his ties with Raine?
Perhaps it's because the bond between twins is so unique and indescribable to all who are not a twin. They are seemingly 2 halves of a whole and communicate in their own language. I'm hoping his compulsion is to spare Raine an untimely death.

His ability to emotionally detach himself scares me, yet it is one of the reasons why I like this character so much.

Great post!

He is detached, the question is how much and how permanently.

Spare, but deeply insightful. Likening the leather cords that bound to the ties of twinship... and how they can be finally and immutably cut.

Fantastically clearcut writing - a Cael trademark!

Thanks. Teri is very terse and formal in word and thought. There's a reason for that.
