It's funny, because I've been thinking of essay topics for college admissions - and I was going to write on this subject.

That whole thing felt like a narrative part from a movie. (which is a good thing)

In regards to the college essay thing, I am jealous that you get to do that. I never got the chance. Sure, I went off to college, but I never had to do that, prove to someone that I'm worthy of attending their college. I just kind of showed up.

As for what you said about the movie narrative, watch a certain movie (ahem, Wonder Boys, ahem) and you can see some great movie narrative.
