Light has never been certain just how he feels about Misa. And now that she's here, he's reminded of how he's uncertain.
On the one hand, she bothers him. That's impossible to ignore. Even if she's not as stupid as she seems all of the time, she's far below his own intelligence level. He'd never have looked twice at her if it weren't for the trap she'd set, inadvertently or not.
On the other hand...he doesn't want her to come to any harm. She killed people - innocents, he can't forget that, musn't - but she doesn't remember that. And she is just the kind of person that people of...ill intentions would prey on.
And besides, she is loyal. That particular trait cannot be underappreciated. She never failed him, not the way Mikami did.
Waiting outside her door, he makes up his mind and knocks.
