Dreaming isn't magic, it's just the subconscious mind ordering thoughts, a series of electrical impulses in the brain.

When one dreams, their mind is sent to the Fade. Where both magic and dreams come from.

Every living thing in Thedas is entered into the Fade, once they fall asleep. It's a place of dreams, magic. Spirits and demons shape the realm after what they see in our dreams...

Mages can call upon that power at will -- that magic.

It's nothing like that where I come from, dreams have no power.
