Oh. This is really, really good. I have to see the movie sometime, I read the play after I came across some great fics on Yuletide last year. I was going to pick out a favourite line but the whole story fits together so seamlessly, and also it's really *hot* without being explicit, always a good thing for me. I love the metaphor of tripping up history, too, their relationship as an unplanned accident that was always meant to happen...

Oh my God. You don't know how much I love this. Dakin, and, Irwin, and the 'sir' and how Dakin just leaves and Fiona was mentioned--guh. I love the History Boys so much and this just made me love it even more. ♥

OMG, WTF, YOU'VE WRITTEN HISTORY BOYS FIC. WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS SOONER?

This could have sucked and I still would have loved it. But it didn't suck (well, technically, it did a little bet, ho ho!) and I really REALLY loved it. Especially the mentions of Hector and Posner writing poetry and "sir" and GAH. So good.

Most people don't seem to realize I've written History Boys fic until they've seen the movie themselves and go looking for fic. :)
