Possible classical sources project

So I been thinkin' lately. I do that. One of the neat ideas that I thought I might spend some blogtime on is an analysis of classical sources. But not just any ol' analysis. No, I'm far too pedantic for that. I want do do a word-by-word analysis

Pick one of Herodotus' histories...they are actually quite short.

You'd have a difficult time with Homer, as most of the dictionaries, such as Lidell & Scott are based on a much more standardized Attic. Maybe some of Pindar's Odes...

Unless you want this to be your life's work...go with something short, and slowly do several items in a row.

Any of the Epic poems will take you years. Decades maybe if you're doing this one word per day.
