The sound of Ancient Greek - Classical Pronunciation. Go. Listen. Drool. Repeat. (safe for work, but possibly rather distracting)

The Society for the Oral Reading of Greek and Latin, too. Wow.

I know! I spent half the day listening to those and a couple similar ones in the background at work. Come visit at the SpokenAttic Yahoo Group if you're interested in the talks that spawned it.

*muhahaha*

Hrm. I would listen, but I don't have Real player installed and don't particularly want to.

You'd think, in this day and age, MP3 would do, or even Ogg Vorbis for the open source inclined.

I'd think so, but then these are mostly academics we're talking about, and classicists at that. Do you really expect them to make well-informed decisions about computer data formats? I'm glad the set of Internet-available research is non-empty.

Incidentally, they really are damned nifty if you get up the gumption to install the free RealPlayer.

I think I just might. Gimme some time, though: I can speak confidently about them now, but doing it and being right takes a little more study. With the SpokenAttic Y! group keeping me moving forward I should be ready before too long.
