Fine as frog hair. That was my coworker's response when I asked him how he was doing today. I am amused.

Nope. Tim, actually. I probably haven't mentioned him at home before. He's a sales engineer guy.

In CR, we say "When the frogs grow hair" to mean something similar to "when Hell freezes over". =)

So what if the frogs have very fine hair? Is Hell having a cold snap?

I've heard this one my whole life. Looking over the comments, kinda relieved I wasn't the only one. The other day at work I told a co-worker, "Well, I'm calling myself having a plan."

He looked a little quizical and laughed. He had never heard that expression before. Strange what things we missed and he told me he found a lot of my Southern idioms entertaining to say the least.

Wow, crazy. I wonder why I've never heard it before. Maybe I did and was just oblivious :-)

I have said something lie that for years, but always as: "Finer than a frog's hair split 3 ways".

Of course I also reply when asked how I am doing with: "Fair to partly cloudy". I know, I am weird.

That should be 'like', not 'lie'. Damn one of these days I am going to proof my comments before posting.
