Bad habit

So Sunday evening while chatting with the wonderful radiantbaby I came to a realization about a bad habit I've got when it comes to dating skills. I've never really needed to date per se. See, there's this wide space between seeing someone at social gatherings and being in a capital-R Relationship with them, and most people get from the former to the latter

I am so very proud of you for working through this. I hope that it wasn't too weird getting dating advice from your girlfriend. I mean, I am certainly not perfect at the whole dating phase either, but I have found it's more languorous nature to be more fulfilling -- for me personally, at least.

Besides, just relying on being in the right place at the right time for romance to happen seems too dependent on luck and I think life is too short for that. :)

I wish I could hug you! I've known ya for a while and seeing you working through this makes me happy because I think at the end of it, you will find true happiness. You're in good hands, but if you ever need an extra kick in the rear...hehe. Don't be too hard on yourself though, it's just part of life. We live, we learn, we learn some more, we relearn, we keep relearning...but eventually we get there. The first couple of times are always the hardest, but after that I think you'll find it's not so intimidating. You're exactly right, you are too busy with your life to wait on all the other things to fall into place and you deserve to be happy. What I have found is happiness is something you create, not something that happens to you. So get creatin'...or...yeah. ^_^
