Recycling is hard in general, even when you're fairly motivated. You pretty much have to set it up so that all the activation barriers are lowered, and all obstacles are removed. So, if you set up convenient recycling containers for your glass or plastic or whatnot, then it takes a minimum of effort and thought, and it actually happens. Make it so ( Read more... )

Thanks for this info! I have some junk sitting in a closet because I don't know what to do with it, and there's always an Office Depot or Best Buy around.

I'm so happy with my Cleveland Heights recylcing, they take that shit curbside, for free, every week.

Radio Shack will accept cell phones and ANY batteries for recycling, also free. Through my job I can recycle any automotive or marine battery.

I don't think they do. They take batteries & cellphones & cartridges everywhere, but for larger tech items like computers and monitors, they only take them during special events, or in a handful of pilot locations. But for all I know you might be near a pilot location, so check their page.
