Though I will still catch myself thinking, "Needs More Robots"

It's only by the sheer grace of fortune that my monitor isn't splattered with red-sauce pasta.

I want a t-shirt with a picture of Wall*E and EVA on the back, and a picture of the Earth on the front with the caption "Needs More Robots."

I tend to be bored hearing about the same old human emotions built into the range of experiences that everybody has been having for centuries.

It struck me while reading Bruce Sterling's "The Interoperation" on Technology Review that what I like about his stories is that they focus on really novel human emotional reactions and expressions.

Yes!! Yes, that's a really good point. And ANOTHER reason why I love scifi and fantasy. They prepare us for genuinely new situation (and new reactions to those situations).

I still can't forgive Mr. Sterling for "Islands in the Net", however. And haven't been able to bring myself to read anything by him, since that.
Perhaps I should.
