I'm not in Pros fandom, have never seen the show nor read any of the fic, but I wanted to tell you that I think this is a very cool thing you have done. And also that the way you have gone about it is very cool. Not a lot of people put the kind of thought and consideration into their fannish actions that you clearly put into this project, and I've got a lot of respect for that.

Also, as a completely post-internet fan, how nice to know that should I ever get around to checking out this show, I will have a handy web archive to turn to! Thanks! *g*

You know, it's funny -- I got my site stats report and I saw all these referrers from the archve, and I thought, that's odd, I wonder why all of a sudden there are all these refs? I must have totally misssed the post! And you have done a magnificent job, truly. I went and poked around and lost track of time.

The one thing I wondered and was going to write to you to ask was that... I did a bunch of cleaning up tonight of thngs that I let slide for *years* on my site, and one of them was some egregious typos in These Things Do Not Remember You. I've had this email for freaking ever and I never did anything till tonight. Would it be possible for me to send you the story again, or do you just want to nab the code, or...? I don't want to add to your work, but you've done such a good job I'm ashamed of myself and you spurred me to action!

Yes, at long long last I finally went "live" with the archive on Monday night ... I posted behind a cut tag in my own LJ because I didn't want to be too much in people's faces (though I had no such compunction on the_safehouse!). I am so glad you like it - I'm especially thrilled to hear that from long-time Pros fans

I will try to remember to send it on to you sometime soon -- I need to strip out the PageMill stuff and then I can just send you an html text file. But this weekend is pretty crazy, so it may take me a little bit. Also, being as forgetful as I am, if you don't see it for a while, nag me -- I am soooo bad about stuff like this. that's why it took me years to fix the typos!

Actually, though, if you are coming into Pros - or at least dabbling in it - from DS, it might be worth my pointing you to my response to mergatrude's comment to my Pros crack_van rec, here. You might already know this - but I was a total due South freak when I first got into Pros, and it really took me a while to begin to appreciate what Pros had to offer. A friend who shares these two fannish passions gave me some good advice, which I repeated to Mergatrude, for whatever it's worth.

Glad you did this!! They were stuck in my spam folder for some unknown and unknowable reason, and I hadn't checked it in ages (one of the drawbacks of having 2G of email storage space). Response forthcoming :-)
