This is so heartbreaking... I wanted to cry right along with River. While I understand Mal's good intentions to protect River, I also want to throttle him! People can change... Oh Jayne, come back Jayne!

And I absolutely loved these lines "He looked at her and saw something more than just present need; he saw hope. Hope that he could change. Hope that he wasn't destined for the life he convinced himself he deserved."
