Ever since Satoshi Kon's passing, I haven't been able to watch any of his movies. Today, the guy next to me on the train was watching Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Spirited Away) and for some reason, I felt this very strong urge to watch Paprika. So I did. Oh my goodness. I had no idea that he had passed away. I saw Paprika during the DC cherry blossom festival ... ages ago. I believe I was still in high school. I remember distinctly how amazing Satoshi Kon was. I don't remember exactly what he said, but your words sound familiar. He was such a cool dude.

I loved Paprika, it was such a beautiful piece that motivated me. Now I feel like watching my copy.

I'm sorry you found out like this :( *hugs* He was definitely a cool guy - they should just put his face for the definition of かっこいい XD But yeah. The way he died was kind of ... fitting. I started reading his last message last night, but couldn't get through it. I think I understood him better as a person through reading that though.

Oh Paprika~~ So many awesome things about that movie! And yes, it's so motivating at the same time! It definitely continues to be one of my favorites, if not *the* favorite, of all time ^^
