Too sleepy to reply to all of the comments so far, but this one's relevant. First, Indie/Indigo's doing all right. I'm finally allowed to pet him as long as Rita's on tie down and I try really hard to win him over. I actually got semi normal meows today, and that's the extent of it so far.
As for the friends, yeah, people have sort of shifted now that I'm back. I had dinner with L and B whose emails are above and got the following today. Am I the only one here questioning the wording/terms used? I want to tell her team, lady, team! Couple is what I'll be when I find someone who's low drama and mentally stable!

Maybe try cat treats or is he a picky eater? Mine doesn't care about Fargo in the least which rocks but he lives with three other large dogs.

I discovered your journal from a friend toa friend, hope you don't mind. Which Yahoo!Group are you on that you have all these great posts? There's another group that may be of interest to you, just e-mail if you want the subscription information. It is for GDB grads/raisers/staff only, but we do allow prospective students to join as well. We are at times high traffic, but due to the holidays this week, it has been fairly low. Hey, I know you! I'm on *the lounge* list, if that's what you mean. It's so high traffic and packed with all of the quotes of quotes of quotes in emails that I'm on digest form. I introduced myself right before leaving for GDB but just haven't had the time to go through all of the email since then. I'm sort of there, in theory, though! :) Mleigfan or IndigoJess, if that rings a bell.
My yahoo group is just one that I set up for family and friends: sighted people who are completely unaffiliated from the guide dog process. It's tails_from_ca, but anything I post in emails will also go back to the lj. If you meant another group besides GDBLounge, let me know!

Oh LOL! I didn't know you had an LJ, the list is so quiet right now due to the holidays, but I am glad the digest seems to work for you. Nope, that's what I just wondered, I did the same for when I went to GDB, had my own private group for my training journal, all replies were back to me, not to anyone else.

Hi, Jess. I saw in another forum that you've received your guide--congratulations! I just wanted to check in and make sure you got my reply a while back about your request to join gdschool_candor. It initially took me a couple weeks to reply to your request, but I gave you the go-ahead to join through the Profile page and let you know you would be approved. We hadn't heard from you since then and just wanted to make sure that you did get that reply and didn't think we were snubbing you! If you did see the reply and had just decided not to join the comm, no problem, and feel free to totally ignore this! Again, we just wanted to make sure there wasn't a miscommunication, and to let you know that you're still welcome to join us.
