Yo- Ho, Yo- Ho, a SOLDIER's life for me...

((AU-verse. Not a part of any RP. Continued from here.))Cloud shifts in the sheets, arms reaching up to stretch out his previously dormant muscles. He slept okay, if he even slept that much at all, only dropping off after he heard Roxas attempt to sneak back into their hotel room ( Read more... )

Given that he'd been up late and still has that teenager tendency to just kind of conk out for a good while it should hardly come as a surprise that Roxas is still fast asleep by the time that Cloud gets up.

But he stirs vaguely at the sound of the water being turned on all the same. He... might wake up soonish on his own. Maybe.

Cloud comes out of the room in a small billow of fog, loose boxers on. He strolls over to where Roxas is sleeping, toweling his spikes all the while with a fairly thin towel. An eyebrow raises in amusement before Cloud decides to flip-bundle up his towel in a rope, flicking it with dead accuracy at Roxas' sleeping face.

If he managed to survive through years of ShinRa cadet towel torture, Roxas can survive one morning of it.

Well, that certainly gets Roxas' attention at least - he's awake all at once, Keyblades summoned to hand and swinging on moments thereafter. At least his reactions are all online even if the rest isn't quite up to speed.

Interestingly, it's not Oathkeeper and Oblivion this time. Exactly why, isn't entirely clear, but might have something to do with either the time or what he was doing last night. One of the blades even looks rather suspiciously Axel-influenced, while the other one's all done in shades of silver and black.

Cloud reflexes kick in as both hands cross at the forearms, stopping the edges from smashing his head in and catching both keyblade lengths with his palms. The towel drops to the floor, almost belatedly, as hurt radiated down Cloud's arms.

Heh, Cloud thought. My own son just tried to brain me. I feel like Hojo.

"Roxas," Cloud called sternly, tone quiet but still holding a note of warning. He wasn't angry, not really, being more amused than anything else. Cloud just wanted to ensure that he caught Roxas' attention.

Aaaaaand that would be the brain kicking in there as Roxas lowers the Keyblades to a more 'neutral' position before letting them vanish into nothingness. He can always call them back later if Cloud wants to have a look at them, after all.

"Yeah?" he answers, sounding remarkably awake for someone who was asleep only a moment ago. Seems like adrenaline might be make a decent replacement for coffee, if it didn't have to come with at least implies threat to life and limb.

Something that Roxas is starting to realize must have happened with rather distressing frequency to his dad, as his eyes flick over the rather impressive assortment of scars that Cloud's managed to pick up over the years. As a matter of fact, he's just about to ask about some of them before his brain rather abruptly realizes that no, his dad's not wearing anything as he feels a blush spread across his face before he decides that maybe it's better to look somewhere that's Not Cloud.
