 New law comes in to effect in March which will mean you ISP will keep info about every email you send or receive, for the period of one year. The Police, Government and local council offices are among those who will be able to request this info.

Yeah, I'm really not happy about the invasion of privacy with the email thing. But if they start to log websites that we visit...that's just soooo wrong. And it really doesn't wash when people say that, if you're not doing anything wrong, then you've nothing to worry about. For instance, in my lifetime homosexuality has gone from a criminal offense, where people were not only sacked for it, but could (and did) go to prison, to being decriminalised. Who's to say that something that's perfectly legal now, wont, sometime in the future, become frowned upon, or criminal?
