He watched as she came undone. Slowly spinning throughout the cargo hold, she kept her eyes closed and just danced. And all he could do was watch in silence, desperately wishing for her to never stop. Because he knew that her pain was linked to her dancing. He knew that when she stopped, she couldn't keep the pain at bay. When she stopped, she would cry.
After an hour of watching, he noticed the first signs of her unraveling. She took an uncertain step, which threw her off-balance. She took another step, out of time from the music only she could hear. Another - she stumbled. And another ... Her body finally rebelled against her mind. She stopped and fell to the floor. She curled up into a ball and started to cry.

It broke his heart to see her cry. Every time he watched, every night for the past two months, a sharp pain would jab into his chest. And every time she cried, he prayed - something he hasn't done since Serenity Valley. He prayed that she eventually find a solace from the Black she found herself in. Prayed that somehow, her broken heart would mend. And sometimes, Mal prayed that one day she'll forgive him.
