Oh no! I hope Phoenix's egestion problems sort themselves out soon enough and that they don't lead/haven't led to other problems!
Enjoy your weekend! That job sounds like it's relly eating away at you, which can't rest easy on your conscience. Hope you can find a better prospect soon! Take care, Grace!
Great to hear from you! But sorry to hear about your boy having crystals. And that you are still suffering on your job...
One of my boys has trouble with crystals - he was on a prescription diet for a short while to give him a head start - the next step was to reduce grains from his diet and up the protein and water content. My cats eat both kibble and wet canned. I just made sure to add extra water in his wet food and supplement with real raw food like REAL chicken - this helps keep him well irrigated and that's all the help he has needed.
This modification has worked on another level, too - as it's quite the trick to feed one boy a different diet from the other as you can't feed them one at a time and stay sane, and, they are territorial and insist of sampling from the other's bowl when unsupervised.
It sounds like you really appreciated the Crufts experience! Any piccies? You were probably too busy to snap.
Hoping a door opens for you for better employment soon.
I'm afraid I didn't take any photos at Crufts this year. My boy was so grumpy by the time 4pm came round (the time after which exhibitors are allowed to remove their dogs from the show) that I decided, rather than taking him into an empty ring and snapping a photo, to take him home. I could have taken some photos when I went back just to shop, but I've been to Crufts that many times now that I don't tend to want to take photos of anything but my dog, or my friends' dogs, these days. Miserable sod, aren't I
