Advent Calendar: Door #15

Dec 15, 2007 15:42

I've updated a bit of cRUSH with a few new icons, and the first batch of At World's End caps (because there will end up being loads due to the sheer length of that film, and the amount of awesome Hector moments). I've also begun working on some fanfic stuff, so yay for Xmas holidays!

In my calendar today:

Open Door Number 15... )

christmas, geoffrey rush, dragonwyck, website, vincent price

Oooh Dragonwyck...this looks speeecial! I've never seen it, but Price is divine (and awesome i Edward Scissorlands, lol)...but even from the caps you're so right about the Marquis-esque mannerisms, especially the posture and the eyes there. Whoa! I'm going to have to get it.

It's a pretty good film. It falls short on some levels, but I enjoyed it overall. It's the first film I've properly perved on Price, though (oooh, lotsa "P"s in that sentence!) - I've never seen him look so young and he's hawt, damnit. He relishes roles like these, you can tell, and Gene Tierney, who stars opposite him, is very good as his character's dignified, albeit a bit naive (aren't they always?), love interest.

The black and white footage really adds to the atmosphere, too - can't imagine this in colour!
