Bizarre Realistic Dream

So last night I had a very strange and oddly realistic (hyper-real) dream about being at a Buddhist temple in Nepal. These particular Buddhists believed that their temple was a special place that could be a gateway to Nirvana that could turn certain types of practicing Buddhists into great spirits to aid the world. So your dream is telling you that you don't approve of assisted suicide?

Actually, I -do- believe in assisted suicide for sane, logical, rational reasons such as painful terminal illness... But I mean this KID was 20 and believed in some magical transformation bullshit and a bunch of old monks were encouraging him to throw his life away over a fairy tale... Now THAT sits wrong with me. It's basically the problem I have with all religions that encourage martyrdom and human sacrifice of life.

Well, there's martyrdom and sacrifice and there's martyrdom and sacrifice. The version from your dream was pretty pointless and cultish, yeah.

Although, you know, it was a *dream* so maybe it actually worked there? I guess it was one of your dreams so it probably wouldn't. n.n My dreams are full of that stuff, though. One of the earliest dreams I can remember was about turning into a guardian spirit after being killed by nuclear bombs. @.@
