I went blueberry and cherry picking with my folks today. It was actually really nice, and we got some 65$ worth of fruit. We're going to be making blueberry pie all through winter. Yesssss ( Read more... )

Even though I was a ghetto city kid, I have a lot of farmer relatives in New Jersey. bbb. My great grandpop came over from Italy and built a huge farm of blueberries and cranberries, so every summer as a kid, I just went over there and picked as much as I wanted.

Hmm. Yeah, I guess I've been an 'everything' kid. But I hate the suburbs. I'd rather live in rural nowhere.

Rural has sort of a character to it though. I don't know how much I'd really like living that way full time, but it's nice for visiting. Suburbs is just plain... stupid. You get a patch of grass to mow and a bunch of bitchy neighbors. At least if you live somewhere rural, you can do a lot more outdoor activities without people bothering you.

I mean it's nice to visit rural areas and enjoy the outdoors but I don't think I could live there. I'd go crazy.
