LMFAO. apparently there are families that take in young travelers and let you sleep in their homes for free? she did the research on this, and honestly i don't know how serious she was.

I've met a couple that have couch surfed in Italy, and they said it was really nice, most of the time they didn't just have to sleep on some random couch, they got a room to themselves, and one time the person just gave them the keys to their house was like "i'll be back tomorrow" I think they did it for a month, reserving hotel rooms like once a week in case they wanted privacy at some point, like a rest, but enjoyed sleeping in random people's houses a lot more, and staying in a hotel was like "oh, now we have to stay in a hotel night... :("

But that was Italy, so I'm not sure what Istanbul would be like!

Personally, I probably wouldn't, but I might be convinced to.
