yeah i felt the same way about the movie. i mean i wasn't totally optimistic, i knew some things were going to suck but i was hoping it would be passable :/ i feel bad for everyone who was involved and for mike and bryan, but i think it was just way too soon for an avatar movie. should have given it two more years at least.

now we just have to hope nick doesn't scrap any future avatar projects.

Yeah i knew it wasn't gonna be the series, but I didn't imagine it'd be this bad.

God if nick does that i'll be so fucking upset. There was talk of another season of it coming out and I want that to be true :[

the hard thing is who to blame for this, 'cause we had no clue what really went on. we know shyamalan approached nick about it and i think they said yes too quickly. they wanted their own harry potter, basically. people may call me stupid for this but yeah i do think shyamalan could have made a better movie if he was given more time.

idk i feel bad for him too because he had some unique takes on the avatar world but it was all so rushed :(

That's true, but it doesn't seem like shyamalan was really looking to wait a little longer to make the movie better to me. idk man.

i haven't done a lot of research on all the changes they've made, I only know some stuff. i just wish they kept more of it the same, i think that would have at least given the hardcore fans something to chew on.

at least i can be grateful that even non-fans who went to casually see it hated it
not that it won't stop the franchise because they still paid money
but all the same

lmao yeah, that's how you know it's legit a bad film and not just angry fans. fffffff that makes it worse to me, cause if it was a decent film on it's own it'd be bearable.
