erm. I should probably edit that. I was caught up in the moment. I was listening to some music, remembered a moment in high school when i was an exchange student, sitting around a television with some friends, watching an oasis concert on video and hearing noel shout 'show us yer tits!'; it brought out the best in me. and then... i came to post it here... :(
and while i should edit that; i kind of enjoy it :P
a small town in rural quebec. it was only 3 months and in the same country, but it blew me away.
what inspires your writing? i see that you've done a lot of fan fiction, and some pretty freaking ambitious works at that. but your poetry, that last one - digest - felt really sincere. are most of them autobiographical?
Cool. I've never been to Quebec, but I hear it's gorgeous.
What inspires my writing? Practically anything, really. I like knowledge, I like integrating things that I've learned into my writing any way that I can. Writing is also my way of learning. I sometimes to do tons of research when I hit an idea, but feel like I don't know enough to use it. I actually end up learning a lot through writing. Sometimes I find it... more interesting? to write about stuff I haven't directly experienced. So in that sense, not everything is autobiographical. "Digest" was kind of personal and intense.
I also really like experimenting. I'm not sure if conventional stuff just doesn't interest me, or if I fundamentally am not able to think that way. I could probably learn to write a more traditionally plotted piece... but then the issue is why do that when I could do something that's my own and new?
