Awhile back, cubicalgirl tagged me to do a meme about weird habits. I haven't done it yet, largely because I already did this post back when it wasn't a meme and I (obviously) liked to hear myself talk. And since I don't think it's time to start subjecting you fine folks to reruns, I'm afraid I have to refuse.

But this will make cubicalgirl mad and she may stop ( Read more... )

Ok the post that you linked to was freaking hilarious. I totally guffawed.

I don't like to eat in front of people either, but it never seems to stop me from scarfing my food in 20 seconds flat. My Taco Bell Coworker and I almost have a race as to who can eat the fastest each day. We even throw our hands in the air when we're finished just like those rodeo cowboys who rope the calves. TIME!!!!

Although I'm saddened that you say "yuge" instead of "huge." Hahahahahahaha. I mean yayayayayayayaya. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the post. It's amazing some of the things I've admitted about myself over the years. It'll come back to haunt me someday, I'm sure. :)

See, I don't mind eating in front of people. At least not consciously. Maybe there's something sub-conscious there. But I don't like talking while I'm eating so I just don't eat much in social situations. I go out to lunch with people from work and everybody is done while I'm still halfway through my meal. Even if I haven't talked the whole time and just concentrated on sticking food in my mouth as quickly as possible. I just eat slow, I guess. :)

Hahahahahahaha. I mean yayayayayayayaya. :)

Oooh, that's just mean! But it made me laugh out loud. For the record, I can say the hard-H sound. It's the Huey one I have trouble with. :)

I probably would. I simply can't make that H sound and I can't seem to train myself not to say those words. So I'm stuck getting weird looks the whole time I live here. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the post!

I loved this post! Especially because I do the same thing. We have Fox and WB and they used to be on other channels but they switched. Then there is UPN. So if I think a show comes on one of those I try 6, 8 or 10 and evenutally find it. A&E used to be 26 but now it is 27. NBC is 17 but it comes on 7. I think it used to be on channel 10. 11 comes on 13 and 5 comes on 3! I lived in Winston-Salem until I was 9. WFMY was channel 2. WXII was channel 12. UNC-TV was 4. There was one more but that's it! End of story! I gave up. I am a compulisive channel flipper to the point I wear the letter and numbers off the remote. Oh...and I watch a lot of A&E. A LOT.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think you're on to something. My brain set aside enough space to hold three channel locations and that's it. I was screwed as soon as they decided to start adding new networks. :)

Finally I just gave in and got a DVR. Now everything I want to watch is set up to record automatically and I just watch it whenever I'm ready by selecting it from a list. I never have to figure out what channel it's on. Whew!

I am sure I (and other people) would like to hear about your idiosynchrasies. I got nothing but positive responses to mine. Heck, some of the people that read it still talk to me. :)

They're crazy, these cable companies! Just put channel 4 on channel 4, how freakin' hard is that? I really don't understand what issue is. (*shrug*)

Yeah, I know. None of our channels are the same, except for NBC. It's channel 2 across the board. Ugh.

That's just silly. I don't understand. Here in Kansas City, Fox4 is on 6, even though the only thing on 4 is the community events board telling me where the 1995 Lee Summit High School Reunion is going to be. Doesn't it seem like they could put that in channel 127?? :)
