“Why are we doing this again?”
“Because you promised.”
“Yeah, well, I'm taking what I said back. I can't do this, Vic.” Rolling his eyes in a playful manner, Victor positioned himself in front of Julian again, reaching out to grab the telekinetic's hands and set one of them on his own waist.
“It's easy and you're going to learn,” he said as he took Julian's other hand in his own. “Light with your fingers on my hip. Positioning is key.” A grumble was his only response as the dark haired teen did what he was told, adjusting his hold on the lizard teen as he gave Vic's other hand a light squeeze.
“I am so getting you back for this.”
“Sure you are.” A glance was tossed off to the side where Nezhno and Megan were watching, the pixie smiling widely as she hit play on the stereo, music wafting through the air. Murmuring softly to Julian the telekinetic seemed to grow about ten times more nervous but followed the instructions all the same, moving forward slightly to lead as the pair fell into a Foxtrot of sorts. There were plenty of mishaps but they worked through them, never stopping their movements or the music, Victor encouraging his partner through each fumble. Their first run through definitely needed work and, as Megan pointed out, Julian needed to work on the whole 'grace' thing.
But the second time around definitely showed promise.
“See? Easy,” Vic said softly, a smile touching his lips as Julian lead him around the dance floor. The telekinetic met his partner's gaze and huffed mockingly, turning his chin up as he tried to look indignant.
“I'm awesome. Of course it's easy for me.”
“Oh yes, of course.”
“Glad you understand,” Julian said with a grin now as he dropped the act, turning them around to move back the other way, their movements syncing up much better now as the telekinetic seemed to finally grasp the concept of grace. Vic relaxed a bit as well, having been keeping himself very aware to avoid any crushed toes but he leaned into the other young man now, sliding his hand a bit further up Julian's shoulder as the Foxtrot was forgotten in favor of a typical, high school-esque slow-dance.
Neither of them noticed Megan shoving Nezhno out of the room, or the fact that the music had stopped playing.
“Thanks..for getting me to do this,” Julian finally broke the silence, head having rested against Victor's at some point. Both of his arms had wound their way around the lizard's waist while his partners rested around his shoulders.
“You're welcome.” Vic's face was turned towards Julian's neck and he leaned in a bit to press a light kiss at the base before he let his eyes slip shut. The telekinetic shivered but didn't object, his own eyes lidded as they danced to a song only they could hear.
