"You like wine? Are you a drinker, my darling?" "...What?"

Mar 02, 2010 15:01

So this just-turned-nineteen-years-old boy that I've been doing volunteer work with keeps calling me "my dear" and "my darling" repeatedly while we're working.

I have no idea how to handle this.

wat, work

I don't have it happen often but when it does I have no idea how to handle it.

he's a WEIRDIE! you should end all your sentences in weirdie when speaking to him.

"Are you a drinker, my darling?"
"No, weirdie."

Hehehhehehhee.

Hahaha. That would be awesome.

Yeah, it was kind of strange because I was trying to do a coloring book with one of the kids and he kept asking me about what I liked doing in my free time and what I was doing this weekend. I would have thought he was just being cordial if he didn't keep ending everything with "my darling" or "my dear".

I tried giving off every signal I knew how that I wasn't interested but he just didn't seem to get it. Oh, to be nineteen again.
