OK, so I went to the site and it popped straight up with 'I Will Dare' by the Replacements in the mini-player. Good sign.
Also, fuck yeah 'Marquee Moon' at #16. Needs to be higher - though, if given the chance I will piss and moan about the entire list ('Only Shallow'? Come on, 'Sometimes' is the definitive My Bloody Valentine song).
They basically picked all the anthemic ones. And I doubt that a lot of them can be considered 'modern' at this stage - 'Space Oddity' must be from '71 or earlier, surely? And if you've got REM, the Replacements and Matthew Sweet in there, why the hell is there no Big Star?
