Gwen was not endeared to the king; she didn’t agree with his methods or his ever apparent fear of magic and misjudgement when it came to matters concerning it. But not once had she ever plotted or whished for his death, the thought simply never occurring to her. She’d stayed in his kingdom, done her duty and she supposed in others eyes that made her loyal to him. In reality it was not the king she was loyal to but Camelot itself, the people and the future, the future held in the crystal blue eyes of a blonde headed prince.
Guinevere was loyal to her prince, if needed be she would fight to the death to protect him. True she’d once thought him arrogant, a mere bully but she’s long since seen past his charade and to the truth underneath. The courage, sweetness and kindness that lay within him had endeared her to him in more ways than she ever thought possible. She was fiercely faithful to Arthur and it didn’t come solely from a desire to see a better future for Camelot, though it had started that way, now it was because of her love for the man himself that had her welcomly bond by the soul.
