He helped Colin drag a someone awake Bob back to his room, Mat bitching at Bob with every step before they all but kicked the door in. But it had been decided that Bob was decent, and would survive, though they were no experts in the matter. Colin looks around the room and made a face ( Read more... )

Adam was turning down the sheets when he'd heard the knock on the door. He'd just met the guy, but he remembered college. Sometimes you just had to get away from the freaks you called dorm mates. So he'd offered and Mathis took him up. Maybe the guy could confirm he wasn't the only person who heard music in the old place he'd inherited from his grandparents, supposed spirits and all.

He opened the door with a smile on his face that quickly turned to a frown. "Jesus, you look shit! In a good way, I suppose. That bad at your place?"

He opened the door a bit wider, "Come in, come in. You hungry? We have leftover lasagna."

"How do you look like shit in a good way?" Mathis raised a brow, before shrugging a little as he moved into the home. "He's alive, a friend is sleeping on my bed to make sure the punk lives. I find that I could care less at the moment. Whatever that is supposed to mean."

He shrugged. If nothing else he'd call Snake in the morning and ask if he could come by and talk after work. It would give him an excuse to avoid Bob a little longer, and to figure out what he wanted to say...or do.

"Food? I'm always ready for food." He was only 21, and thin as rail. Though he ate all the time. There were girls he knew that would kill for his metabolism.

"Well, your good looking, but you look like shit. I suppose that cancels things out." Adam scratches his head in a confused way and shrugs. "I'm shit at explaining things, soo..."

"Oh, great! That'll get rid of the rest." He headed towards the kitchen and got the bowl out of the fridge. "My daughter made the noodles, so if you don't like it, I won't be offended. I like it. But then again, I'm a single dad. I'll eat anything."

"I'm in college, anything is better than cafeteria food." He laughed a little as he followed behind Adam. "Single dad, huh? I don't think I could raise a kid. I'd have to kill them if they were anything like me."

Mat set his pack aside before he found a chair to sit in. "So, why'd you invite me over? I mean...weren't you worried I might be some psychopathic serial killer?"
