dark side of fate is my favourite ;u; steel_massifail June 16 2010, 22:44:07 UTC
Dark Side of Fate remixes (Hina's Theme)
Billy Mays Remix.
Folk Remix
O-Life Japan Remix (Aka THE BEST REMIX THERE IS)
I don't even know what to call this, but it's awesome Remix

Satori Maiden ~ 3rd Eye Remixes (Satori's Theme)
Trance Remix. It's awesome.
IOSYS Remix. It's sad and beautiful.

Suwa Foughten Field Remixes (Kanako's Theme)
EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) Remix. Most EWI remixes are good, actually.

UN Owen Was Her? Remixes (Flandre's Theme)
Ronald McDonald Remix
There are FAR too many awesome remixes of UN Owen Was Her, so I'm only gonna post that one.

Beloved Tomboyish Girl Remixes (Cirno's Theme)
IOSYS Remix. Absolutely hilarious.
CIRNO HAS TOO MANY AWESOME REMIXES AS WELL. Sorry, brah.

Touhou has the best game music of all time. Ever.

THIS. H-Hnnngh, Hina and Cirno's themes are two of my personal favourites, and UN Owen is definitely up there as well. And Love Coloured Master Spark, and Doll Judgment.... can't I just say "everything"?

I find I generally prefer the fighting games' versions of the characters' theme songs. Scarlet Weather Rhapsody gave us a cool remix of Lunatic Red Eyes ~ Invisible Full Moon, plus Vessel of Stars ~ Casket of Star, a new theme for Marisa.

Hisoutensoku, meanwhile, gives us a jazzed up version of Beloved Tomboyish Girl and a rocked-out version of Faith Is For The Transient People. It also gives us Dichromatic Lotus Butterfly ~ Ancients, a swingin' new theme for Reimu. And let's not forget The Grimoire of Alice, either!

As for remixes... Actually, most of the remixes I've listened to have been for characters not in Mayfield (Yukari, Yuyuko, Utsuho, etc.) However, I have heard two remixes of Eirin's theme that are pretty fantastic. O-Life Japan's version is a fantastic blend of orchestral and metal, and this remix would sound at home in Guilty Gear.

It's definitely Ska. It's the style of tempo and note progression that make it as much.

Personally, I'm the opposite, and can hardly stand the Tasofro versions of the themes in comparison to the ZUN originals. HOWEVER I do love the original music Tasofro did for SWR. As well as Hisoutensouku's main theme. EDIT: Also, Dichromatic Butterfly, Casket of Star, and Grimoire of Alice aren't new themes, but rather new versions of their old PC-98 themes.

If you're a fan of epic metal, I suggest checking out Demetori's stuff for Touhou. It's fucking amazing.

And yes, the O-Life Japan version of Eirin's theme is faaaantastic
