Hetalia cast - headcanon discussion!

S-so! What do you think? I got the idea when I was picking at the whole "Germany = HRE?" question, since it seems like a subject that could come up here. We've got country characters from nearly every era in the comics; Chibitalia, Imperialism, both World Wars... And now, Russia-badtouched Hungary. :O ( Read more... )

I don't know why, but...I always thought that America and Canada were both born from a North American missing mom character who may or may not have also mothered non-existent Mexico. The idea kind of gives reason to why America and Canada are both white with blond hair/blue eyes. Since you know...due to the Vikings and Europeans that settled North America and all.

Also, that France was kind of a loving non-pedo dad/brother to Canada in the past. And corrupted him taught him a couple things. Then he forgot about him like everyone else did after he grew up.

And there really is nothing much more to add to Austria.

Well. I think most of my history for Hungary explained it, buuuut...

As for recent things? I've been going with that Russia leeched off of Hungary and it's very damn well clear she's a buffer between them and the west. Which, is... pretty historically accurate. Can you see a pattern, guys?

But seeing as she hasn't really gotten to the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 yet, she's still very much under control for the most part and hoping Russia doesn't find out.

Uhhh. About past things... I've pretty much kept to Hetalia canon with the Knights and every other little thing. In real history, the reason the Austria-Hungary thing happened? It was because Austria was being a total douchebag to Hungary, believe that or not. Freaking Habsburgs.

Well, also, though, that Hungary was in straight up rebellion, and Austria basically realized that crushing the rebellion wouldn't work anymore, the only way to stop it was to give Hungary equal status as a state and quasi-political independence within the empire or else it would leave.

Pretty much 'propose already, or she's leaving and taking half your empire/beating you with the frying pan on the way out.'

I'm bad at stating headcanons. :<

America:
- As stated in that "scrapped" character information, he has a (minor) complex over his house's lack of history.

Why do I lack so much headcanon for Alfred? I know I'm forgetting something, let me remember it or ask about something, I don't know.

Prussia:
- Mentions of his dissolution make him kind of urk and he may or may not do his pathetic cry.

- His time with Russia after World War II wasn't filled with a bucketload of angst. It was tough and he probably couldn't see his brother for decades, but he just ended up getting the short end of the stick a lot.

- The business with Brandenburg was the only time he ever got married. Or something like that, however their relationship would have been described in Hetalia terms even if Brandenburg doesn't exist in the series. Enough said ( ... )

You so are good with headcanons! See all that? That was what I was talking about! :D

Man, tell me what you think about our Prussia and Germany, history-wise and our-characters-wise. I mean. They're not even really supposed to be separate characters, if you really think about it. HOW DOES THIS WORK. In terms of our RP characters, I mean; Hetalia canon can be anything, whatever, I'm just yeah. Let's be consistent togethAR.

I don't even know.

I mean, Prussia didn't really exist during WWII, so. What should Germany's memory of him be...? A tired, broken-down by WWI almost-country...?

D'awww, thank you. ;;

History-wise I DO NOT KNOW -- Prussia apparently did not want Germany to swallow him whole, I guess. A lot of people believe he was the representation of the German Democratic Republic during the Cold War, but that ended up merging back with the West so he's had no luck obviously. Really though, yeah, Prussia as a state more or less went *ded* once World War II ended. What a sad end.

For characters, these two are polar opposites. LOOKIE ME I'M SO AWESOME versus Please behave, Bruder. One must wonder if Prussia really did the raising. Maybe he's a surprisingly adept caretaker, who knows: "Children should eat vegetables!" In terms of relationship, Germany appears to care a lot about Prussia despite how tiresome he can be, and Prussia seems to think he's an awesome brother and looks out for West in his weird little way. Ehhh, I don't quite know how to explain it, ahahaha.

I don't either."Me? I'm not tired at all, West! Aha-ahahahahahahahahaha! Not tired at all! Not . . . tired. Ugh."
The above is what he may have ( ... )
