[1. Park

There's a new redhead lady with a ponytail, standing by a clear space and chewing on a lit cigarette. Ignoring the fact that she's not dressed like a woman of the time, she just has black pants on with a white business blouse. There's a pair of glasses pinned on her breast pocket, too; she's not wearing them at the moment.

As for now, she's holding that lit cig in her hand, and seems to be drawing symbols in thin air.]

Fehu, Uruz!

[The smoke quickly disappears, and nothing happens. Also, those were rune incantations, yes.]

...Tch.

[She resumes smoking that cig. :V

2. Town

Said lady is now wearing her glasses, and approach you with possibly the SUNNIEST smile you've yet to see from anyone around! You'd almost mistake her for a drone, if she wasn't a new face, and seem too enthusiastic even for one.]

Hii, what's up? Are you in a hurry? If not, can we talk for a bit? You see, I'm new here, so I'd like to get to know my situation a little better!

[he pauses to look at her strangely, nearly blinded by that smile.]

Very well, though I'm similarly newly arrived in this most fascinating of places. Though if you'd please, do try to dial down the chipperness. There's simply no reason for anyone to be that happy while trapped here.

Hm, then maybe we can find out more together! That's luck in itself, too. You may be right, but there's no need to look depressed, either. Being a stick in the mud won't get anything done. ...But does it really bother you that much, sir?

If you really feel you must be that enthusiastic about things, very well. I'll hardly try to rob you of your spirits... oh, or is that it? Have you been drinking? If so, I'll have whatever you've been having. I could use a good drink for the day

In fact, as long as I'm here, for every day.

Drinking? I wouldn't mind some alcohol either, but isn't it a bit early in the day for that? I did have three cups of instant coffee before leaving the house this morning. It tasted pretty terrible, but it'll do for now. What do you usually get?

Is it ever truly too early? Perhaps if there are things to be done, but that's hardly the case here. I find that while fancy wines might seem more sophisticated, ale will get you good and drunk all the same. And that's all that matters in the end.

From what I've learned so far, we'll have plenty of time here, so probably not. I do like to be organized in my affairs, however, so I want to get a better understanding of this place first. Maybe I'll go get wasted once the incredulity of this situation finally fully hits me, but they say that women aren't very welcomed at the tavern here because of the era. I don't mind if the bartender gives me weird looks, but hopefully it won't cause any unnecessary trouble. ...Well, getting drunk alone is boring too, so maybe I should just pick up a bottle at the store instead... Hm. [DIFFICULT DECISION, CLEARLY.]

*Hanging out with all the dolls in the park. Since everything happens in the park.*

[Oh hey, dolls! ...Cute design, too. Smiling to herself as she crosses her arms, she'll also pull her cig aside as she saunters over closer to watch. No need to bother the young lady who's in control just yet; for now, Touko's happy to just observe.

She's also not trying in the least bit to hide herself. Nothing weird with a sudden new person watching your dolls with interest and seemingly in a good mood too, right...?]

*Alice will notice and turn around. Her face doesn't change at all, remaining ever stoic.*

... Are all new arrivals this impolite?

[Oh

the little girl looked like a doll too... Cute.

She laughs.]

I wouldn't know, but if I'm what you call a newcomer, then that makes you a veteran who should already know the answer to that question.

True enough. Then I will have to teach you some manners. State your name.

[She puts her glasses back on.] Call me Touko. May I ask for your name too, miss?

*She'll nod, but only slightly.* Alice.

Alice. [As the story? Wonder how fitting that name was...] It's nice to meet you. Are these dolls made by you? [Looking over curiously now, but whether Alice can tell or not, this isn't the gimmicky look that a normal person gives for seeing for the first time dolls moving on their own. The redheaded woman's staring on with an air of appraisal, fondness even - like a fellow artisan, observing a valuable work of art.]

Yes, they are indeed.

*Alice picks up on that gaze rather quickly. She nods again, recognizing a fellow puppeteer.*

Are you interested in dolls, Touko?
