May already...

I haven't had a look at this community for ages, but I'm still pregnant even though my doctor doubt I will go all of May before giving birth. My blood pressure is constantly high, but so far no protein in the urine, so I'm hoping to prove her wrong and not get pre-eclampsia until June ( Read more... )

And maybe you won't even get pre-eclampsia! I had problem blood pressure off and on last time, and this time it seems like one visit it's high, next it's normal, next it's high, but zero protein in the urine. My one OB said he doesn't even care about the BP, as long as I don't have pre-eclampsia.

When I was breastfeeding I had to take domperidone to help my supply, and I was starving all the time, I'd cry cause I never felt satisfied, and then found out it kills your full feeling! Once I knew that, I could eat and convince myself I had eaten a good amount. I'm curious how things will go this time.

I hope I won't get pre-e, but I'm mentally prepared if I do. :)

Did you have it last pregnancy? I so don't want it, I know the only way to get rid of it is birth, and I just want baby to go full term!

Yes, but I didn't get it until week 38, so if I get it this time, I hope for a similar scenario. Well, I hope to avoid a c-section this time, but an induction when baby is basically full term doesn't scare me.

I had high BP at the end of one of my pregnancies. that was it--it wasn't pre-e or anything.

nice pic. love the outfit. I'm so happy it's warm enough to wear skirts all the time now!

High BP at the end of the pregnancy is (within) normal, my doctor tells me. But I've got chronic hypertension and that increases the risk a bit.

You look great! I gain a ton while nursing the first year too. This will be my first time not tandeming so I wonder if it will make a difference. I blamed the weight gain with my first on domperidone, but I don't have an excuse for the next two. I did make a point to get some endocrinology type readings between my pregnancies, during, and I am going to try to get to my GP to do some more when I am post partum (I tend to ignore my health during that period) so maybe we can see what is going on. I suspect though that I am just one of those people who feels hungrier while nursing, but doesn't burn the extra calories, plus the added stress of managing a new family member, not being motivated to cook the high protein and veggie food I am probably craving and over eating junk in its place.
