Mortimer hurried through the Nexus door. He hoped Sasha was at home, this would all make so much sense if she was sitting in her work room or the parlor.

He began to search the house for her, starting with the basement level.

Sasha was upstairs in her room, changing out of something that could at first glance have been mistaken for a second, black skin and into a more comfortable gown. Comfort, of course, being relative.

*Having not found her on any of the lower levels, Mortimer heads upstairs and knocks on her door.*

Sasha? *His voice is tight and stressed. He thinks: Please be here, please...*

"Yes, Mortimer?" She opens the door before reaching behind her to finish buttoning something. Her tone worries him. "What is it? Is Ali alright?"

There's, um, an alternate you in the Nexus that tried to attack Ali... She's fine... AV-field's still there and all.
