I love the scene of Scott & Logan in "X-2" after Jean dies. Their chemistry is fabulous there, and the way they both break down makes me wonder why people think James Marsden can't act. o_O

And Sir Ian rules. Period. I could watch him read the phone book and be happy.

Yeah, the end of X2 was great that way. I always respected what Marsden was able to do as Scott. I mean, he basically had to act with only half his face.

That's because Sir Ian is God. ;)

Scott/Logan slash I only understand movieverse. I never saw it in the comics.

I totally agree, Scott/Logan only works if it's movie. And while Sir Ian might not be God, he is at least a god, or should be.

Bwahahaha! Hear my eeeevil thoughts!

Angry mansex! Juxtaposition of highly-controlled-yet-secretly-vulnerable-leader-guy and highly-explosive-yet-secretly-vulnerable-rebel-guy! Isn't James Marsden pretty? Isn't Hugh Jackman hot as Wolverine?

Bwahaha!

No. NO! I don't care how pretty the actor is, Scott's an ass who deserves to be castrated. :P

Someone needs to be the responsible leader guy...

Scot doesn't deserve to be castrated because he's an ass, he deserves to be castrated because all his offspring end up being pure crack, usually with alternate timelines thrown in.

If you read the dialogue, a lot of it looks really cheezy. When McKellen says it, it comes out wonderfully suitable. He even pulls off the cape without looking silly.

I think the casting director did a brilliant job on both movies. My only real qualm is with Halle Barry. A lot of people thought she'd be perfect (I think Zoe from Firefly would've been a better choice) but she basically phoned in her performances in both movies.

Oh man, don't get me started on Halle Barry as Storm. I was so disappointed with her. Storm was one of my favorite X-men when I first got into them with the 90's cartoon, and then movie!Storm was just... meh. Zoe would have been better, but was she even known then?

Heh. I read a fan summery of X2 that said something like 'Nightcrawler's mutant powers are teleportation and the ability to drag a half-way decent performance out of Halle Barry.'

Gina Torres had been in the Matrix, was the lead in the short lived "Cleopatra 2525" and was a periodic guest star on "Xena: Warrior Princess." I understand that she has major casting difficulties because she's Cuban. She can't get hispanic roles because she looks too black and can't get black roles because everyone in Hollywood knows she's hispanic. Thank god for Joss Wheedon casting on talent.

*snicker* Yeah, it's frightening that she had the most chemistry with someone in that much makeup.

Ah, I had thought Joss discovered her. That Cleopatra 2525 is barely a blip on my memory. :) Damn Hollywood casting stereotypes!

You know, Alan Cumming wouldn't have even been in my top 5 choices for Nightcrawler, but he did an awesome job with the role and I'm really sorry he won't be in X3.

Now if I could only go and magically change all the fanfic where it says he has tattoos into saying he has scarification. That is such a pet peeve of mine.
