It would be fun to do a flashback scene if you have time. I've been wanting to do something about teenage Toad being headhunted and recruited into SHIELD and Red Guard, but I'm not sure if it wouldn't be better as a solo.
You know, I have no idea how they would've headhunted him. I can see a number of obvious reasons why he'd be a good candidate: stelthy power (who expects a tongue like that?), creates toxins, unusual mobility and strength. If you've got a clear idea how he was recruited, I think a solo post makes sense.
After he's on the Helicarrier, I could easily see Toad and Raven bonding over their ability to produce unusual chemicals within their own bodies - perhaps even knocking one another out/poisioning/giving horrible rashes as they find another person to practice their unusual ability with. I could see that being a fun, light backstory that might amusingly gross out everyone else in the messhall (they're not doing it again, are they? Yuck!)
I have vague ideas of secret-service looking guys haunting his high school to check him out. Other than that... dunno.
I was wondering how they would train him for the toxins thing. I had an idea of a healer/bio-control person teaming up with a telepath to show him what was going on in his body when he tried to do stuff. Like the best bio-feedback ever.
I also imagined special SHIELD dietitians telling him what to eat to make his toxins more effective.
The chemical contest is a really funny idea. Raven would have an unfair advantage, though, with her shifter healing. Do you have any idea if Toad can localize where on his skin he produces toxin from?
