Wink Up

Wink Up 09/2011 Glad Summer Day:
> “Perseverance,” “luxuriousness,” “happy happenings,” etc. They talked about little things that have happened recently. What are the little things that have happened lately for these three?
>
> Reiya Watanabe: This month, I’ll give a little updated report on the things I talked about in last month’s issue of Wink Up. I’ve gotten perfect at playing the piano song I was practicing before, and I can play it from start to finish as many times as I want. It feels like a big achievement. I have to find my next piece pretty soon though. If anyone has a recommendation for an R&B style piano song that really stands out, please tell me! Also, the schedule for the “journey to Tokyo to find fashionable western-style clothes” didn’t work out, so I still haven’t gone. Now I don’t have any summer clothes (smile). My current situation is that I’m rotating wearing around 3 tee shirts. Before I liked shirts with elaborate designs, but recently I prefer simple shirts that have a small design on them. As for colors, I’m into khaki right now, and I sure want khaki or olive colored tee shirts.

Potato 09/2011 Enjoy:
> They’re in the middle of enjoying their summer vacation! So with the theme being “Enjoy,” these three talked about recent fun events. They also told us about lots of wonderful summer memories!
>
> Reiya Watanabe: In the summer, I get hyper with my local friends and set off fireworks a lot. The fireworks that I like best are the huge sparklers. They’re beautiful and big, but safe! I kind of don’t like the thrilling fireworks, like rat fireworks or rocket fireworks. Sometimes when we’re launching fireworks, somebody does something dangerous. They’re hopeless. All I can do is try not to get close. The time that I get most hyper when setting off fireworks is definitely when the last sparkler’s fireball goes off. Because I try to make my feelings last until the end, I get really excited at the end. Before, when I lit a firework that had a string-like fuse for the first time, I was so nervous that I was shaking, and my quivering hand made the fireball flicker, and I got really into it. Also, I recently went to the beach with 10 of my friends. There was a place where you could jump in, and everybody dropped down together, but I didn’t want to jump in so I hid. But in the end someone shouted: “you’re the only one who doesn’t have wet hair!” and I was found out, so I jumped in. It was the first time in a while that I’d played around, and it was a lot of fun
