Addition/explanation

The post I made yesterday was not really about anything that has already happened. It's just that I've seen my fair share of fandom meltdowns, and I can see the *seeds* of one here (not 'here' in the sense of 'in this community' but in this fandom in general). And I think (call me Pollyanna! *g*) that if we're all *aware* that the seeds are there, we can probably prevent them from growing into anything *really* unpleasant. I was just trying to raise that awareness a bit; probably unnecessarily, as I already stated in my original post.

I really wasn't trying to criticise you guys or dictate my personal web policy to anyone else. It's just that anything I write tends to come out sounding like a manifesto. Call it a handicap of mine... ;-)
