I'm expecting the actual episode to be much better (just when I think their friendship can't possibly get any closer, they pull things like 'I HEART YOU' that we get to sit back and say are CANON; side note, your icon is just lovely), but it's fun to think about beforehand.

Haha, I figure I'll be too busy flailing over how the episode actually turns out to do any ficcing then, so I might as well blow off some steam this way!

I love all the fic that people are writing pre-episode! This was fantastic! I really loved all of them converging in Danny's room, Kono and Chin sleeping in the chairs (awww) and Steve just being there (and the cousins leaving the chair open for him. Hee.)

Steve leans in the doorway for a minute, watching him puzzle out the important questions.

This makes me squee so much, I don't even know why. The thought of him just kind of poking his head in and then leaning up against the doorway to watch him.

This was just lovely!

I love how encompassing Steve's fear for Danny was but then he was able to rely on Grace, Chin and Kono for strength. And of course Danny fought to hang onto his life--great work on this :)
